I am Vanessa Rose—a bilingual poet and writer based in Germany, rooted in my U.S. American heritage.

My journey with language began during my studies in Foreign Languages and Cultural Studies at the University of Erlangen-Nürnberg, but it was a formative year in Dublin, Ireland, where my poetic voice truly found its shape.

In my work, I explore the visceral intersections of trauma, healing, and bodily autonomy. I often lean into archetypal imagery to examine the complex process of reclaiming the self. My poetry lives in the space between the sacred and the profane, seeking raw emotional truth through biological metaphors and domestic precision.
